Full name: Jessica Mercedes Berg

    Age: 22 on Sept. 7

Where I'm at now: Well, I'm married to a great guy named Tommy. We celebrated our 2 year anniversary on July 13!! I'm so excited!! I am one year away from getting a bachelor degree in elementary teaching! I love little kids! I'll be getting the degree from Florida International University. I plan to teach ASAP!! Children....not yet, but definitely something to consider for the future!

Favorite Color: purple (my high school alma mater is purple and white!)

Favorite TV show: I Love Lucy and Blue's Clues (a children's show that is just fantastic! I may tell you later what my crusade with that show is!)

Favorite Actors: Leonardo DiCaprio (No! No way!) Jack Nicholson, John Travolta, and others!

Favorite Actresses: Kate Winslet, Helen Hunt, Lucille Ball (may she rest in peace, smiling down on all of us who still get the STRANGE feeling that she MAY STILL BE ALIVE!!)

Personality: Sweet, sunny, but don't cross me or you will suffer the consequences of "the wrath of Jessica"! I'm not easy to set off but I do have a temper. I love to have great friends who don't judge me for who I am or who they expect me to be. I am most compatible with easy-going people who just wanna have a good time! (this sounds like an ad for the personals! I assure you I'm married!)

    Best friend: My husband!!!

I have come to admire Mr. DiCaprio since he began appearing on "Growing Pains". I had to know who this man was!! Ever since then I knew he was something special. I really love all of his movies though I must be objective and say that the one I liked the least was "Romeo and Juliet". I don't know...it just wasn't realistic to me, the whole Shakespearean thing in the '90s. Although one movie that I hold dear to my heart is "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" This is because I have a cousin who is 15 years old and mentally disabled. It sort of in a way helped me understand him better and I felt that Mr. DiCaprio captured the child who is disabled perfectly...Then of course came "Titanic" which I think is by far his best movie. I truly enjoyed that one. I thought it was very touching. Then lastly came "The Man in the Iron Mask." I don't know what to make of that film, truly. I don't mean to sound bad about it, but still I felt it was a good film all the same. I think he has incredible acting skills, so much that he can truly grab you and pull you into the movie screen with him. That's how I felt about "Titanic" especially. I thought that it was just so gripping.

Now something slightly humorous about Mr. DiCaprio...and myself. Please, Mr. DiCaprio, if you are reading this, please don't be mad at me! I found out where he was staying in a hotel here in Miami on South Beach (don't worry, I won't say which one!) and I followed him there. I heard it on the radio and I could not help myself! I heard about it on a Wednesday night and I tried to get my husband to take me, but he thought school was more important! Rats!! So instead, he promised to take me on Saturday morning and that is what we did. When we got there we asked the cabana boy if he knew if Leonardo DiCaprio was staying at this hotel. He didn't even know who Leonardo DiCaprio was!! Imagine that!! SO...he went in and asked for me and told me that yes, he had been in that hotel, but checked out already... I was so miserable...but life does go on!

    "To Be a Child"

A lovely, innocent time to laugh and play
To look at tomorrow without ever stopping to think of today.
To reach for the stars and being all we can be
Reaching far into the future and seeing all we can see
This time is a sweet one, don't ever throw it away.
One day when you're all grown up and look on those days
You'll be able to say that you're proud of yourself and how you've
    grown to be today!

    "The ABC's of Love"

    Imagining who you can be
    Letting you spread your wings
Opening up doors that once were closed
Very persistent you are little one!
Every day I watch you grow
Yearning with wonder at what you'll be one day
Only hoping that you'll remember what I taught you
Until forever---that's how long I'll never regret having been your
    mother.

    "First Day of School"

I watch as the little child slowly becomes a boy.
He gets on the school bus but not before a quick kiss goodbye.
I keep on looking at that bus until it's no longer there.
When you got to school, the teacher was so gentle and kind.
She brought you in and put you next to another boy who had not yet
    made friends.
You looked at each other and began to smile.
For the rest of the day Tim and you stayed together and have since
    remained good friends.
You felt so happy that first day when you came home.
"Mommy, I have a best friend named Tim! And the teacher! She really
    likes me! She's so nice!"
Of course everything you told me I already knew.
I couldn't bear to part with my little baby boy.
I followed you there, in case you should need me.
It seems to be you grew up right before my very eyes.
Though it hurts inside, I know the time has come to let you go and
let you be your own person and discover the world for yourself.

Hope you've enjoyed reading this!! Take care now!!
