Hi! I'm one of the Psyches, a special fan club that does more than simply admire an actor...we get fairly pro-active about it. So to introduce myself, I've been Pixie Sherry of Austin, Texas for 34 years now, and in that time I've been back and forth to college, concentrating in the field of education, and I've worked various office and teaching jobs, but my favorite was a gig as manager of a marvelous bookstore downtown. For the last year though, I've been a freelance editor and writer, which is another step towards my goal of being a published novelist and poet... but I digress. About 11 years ago I met my life partner, Dan, and a few years later we discovered how truly lucky we are, having been blessed by the grace of T.Rex - our son of 8 years. Both of my guys are natural charmers:) I write when I can, working on that bestselling novel/screenplay, and I manage to slip in a few poems occasionally (I've displayed a sample of one of my poems below for your browsing pleasure:) and I read everything I can get my hands on. I love to listen to live music and poetry readings, but of course I see every movie my heart desires (and my heart desires more time to devote to movies and literature!) My interests run the gamut from classic to current, and the more variety, the better:) Since "discovering" you as an actor I have also discovered you are a writer and poet, which makes my affection for you all the more deeper.
I was first introduced to your work by friends from the office. The filming of "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" took place on their farm in nearby Manor, Texas. I was, as many were, amazed by your performance. I was also impressed by the amount of research and effort you put into your work; not many young people are interested in portraying a character with disabilities. Since that film, you have, coincidentally enough, portrayed a few of my personal literary heroes. Although it's not just your films that I watch repeatedly - I'm a hopelessly chronic film addict - but I do believe that you are doing a hell of a job right now, making interesting and unusual films that are enjoyable each time I watch them. I wish you every happiness with whatever your future holds.
Peace!

"I Can Only Breathe" I can only breathe. I force out the miasma from my lungs with each breath and suck into being life expanding. I can only walk. I push myself into the universe with each step and deftly maneuver each crash landing. I can only live. I extend my existence from this life day to day uncontrolled events mark past time standing.
