Hey Leonardo Dicaprio Fans- Get the REAL Deal and Rent the Movie!
Okay, so you still think it would be pretty cool to get your hands on the Playgirl featuring Leonardo when it comes out. Well, yes, you might be fulfilling a curiosity or fantasy, but there are a few reasons here for abstaining. First, let's talk about PERSONAL INTEGRITY. That's the right/wrong Jiminy Cricket stuff your conscience. It's the gray area between legal and moral. If you participate in something you know is wrong because you won't be punished, something you normally wouldn't do if others knew, then you are violating your own personal integrity. EX: If you say to yourself "Everybody else is doing it, so can I" then it's probably wrong, right? That thought probably would not come up if there were nothing wrong. Well, I've got news for you: YOU ARE BETTER THAN EVERYBODY ELSE. Just because something would be nice to have or fun to do does not necessarily mean you have to do it. YOU CAN FEEL GOOD ABOUT MAKING THE RIGHT DECISIONS, and without anyone else even knowing it:) Now, what does this have to do with anything? Well, the next thing is RIGHT TO PRIVACY. Folks, the Supreme Court DOES NOT RECOGNIZE the right to privacy. It is merely IMPLIED IN THE CONSTITUTION. People have been fighting for the right to privacy in this country since it began. If one person has their rights violated, WE ALL DO. WHEN YOU BUY ANYTHING UNAUTHORIZED BY THE SUBJECT, YOU VOTE AGAINST THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY.
So, you want to be famous? Well, guess what. Ordinary people like you and me are becoming famous more often these days. The MediaPolice see to that. OH YOU DON'T THINK THERE'S ANY CHANCE YOU'LL EVER BE FAMOUS?? I wonder how the McCaugheys felt about a year ago when they had just one kid. It probably never crossed their minds they would be national PosterParents of eight. And if either were hot and sexy? You bet they would try to find nude pictures of them. It's all a part of trying to sell, sell, sell. NOW, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR UNAUTHORIZED NUDE PHOTOS WERE ABOUT TO BE PRINTED IN A NATIONAL MAGAZINE? No, really, stop a minute and really think about the impact it could have on your life. Maybe Leonardo won't lose his job over this, but YOU COULD if it happened to you, along with friends/family, etc. I'm not trying to tell people how to run their lives, I just want people to think about what they're doing. You make your own choices. I just want people to consider these things a little more often than they do.
It's really important, guys, and I mean IMPORTANT, that we NOT BUY this magazine. The right to print will always be above all else in this country, and I'm not saying it shouldn't be, but if the photos aren't evidence of a crime or part of a valid pertinent story, they shouldn't be allowed to run over your personal rights & make $$$money$$$ off of you, and since the Supreme Court won't do it, WE need to protect OUR OWN RIGHTS by not participating in the VIOLATION of the RIGHTS of OTHERS. So do the right thing: rent the movie "Total Eclipse" and put your vote where it counts Leonardo's work, instead of in an adult-oriented magazine. There. I'm done. The rest is up to you.
